PIXY ~ MAKE IT GLOW DEWY CUSHION

πŸ’• Beauty Review πŸ’•

Hello Readers,

Finally a new beauty post on my blog! This time is a review about a new range of beauty products called Make It Glow from Pixy Cosmetics Indonesia. This Make It Glow series were including Cushion, Primer and Powdery Cake; but in this post I would only review about the cushion which I already tested.

FYI, It's been a long journey for me to find the right cushion for my skin, and to fulfill my expectation about how my face would look like. That's why I was so excited to try this new cushion from Pixy Indonesia because I already used their products since my high school era.

I usually used a Korean brand's cushion for the past few years, even though I have tried other cushion like Maybelline from the latest collaboration with Gigi Hadid, but it just didn't feel right for me. Btw, you could check my honest review about this Gigi x Maybelline here.

So back to this Pixy's cushion that I recently tried, at first I would like to write about the packing. If you hold the cushion's packing, you would find that the plastic material for this packing was kinda low grade ~felt like a cheap plastic packing~ compared to some Korean brand's cushions, or at least the brand that I used before, or compared to Maybelline's cushion that I had. But since Pixy had chose the correct color for their packing, so the cushion wouldn't look so cheap from far. Instead, it looked elegant and luxurious I would say, so it was fine until you hold it. But from my point of view, this kind of plastic packing would hold on better if it ever fell from your hands.

Secondly was about the tone colors. I was choosing the lightest tone from all which was 101 Light Beige, but once again, it was not suitable for my skin. Maybe because it was produced locally to match mostly women skin tone in Indonesia, so personally this tone was still too yellowish for me and made my face look darker instead of brightening my face. Or maybe because I was accustomed with Korean brand's cushion which was more light and used to have a brighten effect from their cushion. So I'd say, this cushion wasn't met my expectation either.

Next was about the quality. I must admitted that this cushion has a good coverage and blended right into your skin just few second after it applied. For me, it's enough to cover my uneven skin tone but still couldn't cover my dark spots. So I thought it has medium coverage level. After few hours after I applied it, the result wasn't cakey and didn't wear off even when my face was sweaty. It was good enough for my active hours without the need to retouch it.

The good thing from this cushion for me was their very affordable price. When you would get a Korean cushion with price around 200k to 500k, but this cushion was only around 100k for full package! Even it was cheaper from the cushion's refill for some Korean Brand I knew. And it would really a saving for my expenses if only the tone was just right for my skin.

So if you were interested with affordable products with good quality ~and good local brand product~, you absolutely need to try this cushion. And they said, this entire Make It Glow series was only available on Pixy's official account on Shopee. So here is the link where you could shop this products. Happy Shopping & thanks me later girls!! Xoxo~

Back To Work

Finally back to work after a long holiday ~or in my case, a long hiatus~ could be a challenge, since I haven't posted anything related to work recently on my Instagram ~I lost some followers, duh~ or update this fashion blog of mine. Because being a full time mom to my second son is a real challenge as well ~my first son was taking cared by his grandma while I was working in a manufacture company then I decided to quit after gave birth to my second son~. I'm still learning to manage my time between my sons, house works and my job. And unfortunately, my job is the least priority so pardon me if I'm in very slow update. Like this latest outfits which photographed since June but I just could update this post recently.

This post was bringing the theme ' Back to Work ' because mostly of Indonesian employees were had a long holiday last June so the theme was sound just right ~if only I updated this post right after the holiday was ended~. But anyway, this outfits could be an inspiration for working attire generally so I think it's not a big problem if I was late to update.

Just a little bit background for the top, I had this top since last year but just had a chance to take pictures earlier this year because it's delayed due to my pregnancy. So you might remember back in 2017 that Bell Sleeves were so in and many brands were released their own tops with bell sleeves to follow the trend.

Actually, this top could be more perfect for work if you matched it with Pencil Skirt or Culotte Pants. I tried to wear it more casual since I used this outfits for cafe hopping at the time, but I think you could get the big picture of it. So, if you want to get this kind of look, you may check previous collections ~last year collections~ of your favorite brands and voila..

GIGI X MAYBELLINE

πŸ’• Beauty Review πŸ’•

Finally, a review for the hottest makeup collections recently. Yes, it's a collaboration products between Gigi Hadid and Maybelline New York!

This Gigi x Maybelline collections was released in USA first then following in Europe and Asia earlier this year. That's why I got a little late on the review ~beside I also did occupied everyday~. So let's continue..

The collections was divided into two selections which were called East Coast and West Coast. East Coast was a selection with nude and earthy tone which we usually saw on Gigi's daily make up, while West Coast was a selection with more bold tone as Gigi often wore for social appearance or red carpet invitation. This collections also had one on-the-go palette called Jesetter Palette which really suitable and reflected Gigi's lifestyle as a model who traveled around the world.

In this post, I would only review about the products that I used which suitable for me and hope it would help you to decide your perfect match. I got myself the BB Cushion, Eyebrow Pencil, Fiber Mascara and the lipstick of course.. Firstly, could we talk about the packaging? The outer packaging for this collections was so futuristic in silver. It might be reflect the youth generation Gigi was born at ~a Millennial~. Meanwhile the products' packaging was in sweet soft pink which looked so feminine alright. I love the pink packing so much!!

BB Cushion

Firstly, I was going to review about the BB Cushion which was a limited edition for Asian market. The shade that I chose was Natural, but for a woman with fair skin, this natural shade was still too dark. So I didn't really like this shade because it made my face looked darker than  my original skin tone. I suggested for all women with fair skin to choose Light shade instead.

This BB Cushion has medium coverage so it could make my skin looked even and covered up my dark spots nicely ~Or is it because the shade was to dark for my skin?~ The matte finishing for this BB Cushion was as same as Maybelline Liquid Powder which have launched first before these Gigi's collections released ~you would know what I was talking about if you have tried the product~

I have tried a BB Cushion with dewy finishing before ~it's a Korean brand~ but then I was really looking for a good matte BB cushion recently because I wasn't really fond into dewy look. And as for this product, honestly I would only gave the score 7.5/10 since it wasn't meet with my expectation very much. But I did love the packaging!! Here's the thing~

Eyebrow Pencil

The second product that I would love to review was the Brow Pencil. The shade I chose was Brown, because I usually had light eyebrow color for my makeup ~My favorite eyebrow pencil was from a Japanese brand~ and even though this shade was not as light as I used to but the result was quite natural on me.

This brow pencil has triangle shape which would help you to create the arch of your eyebrows easier. And the tip of the brow pencil was soft and would glide smoothly on your eyebrows. But in my opinion, it was too soft so it would wasteful in each stroke you did repeatedly.

However, the brow pencil was the only favorite product I had from this entire collection.

♥ Fiber Mascara

This Fiber Mascara was a tricky one. If you couldn't apply it properly then your lashes would be looking weird with uneven lashes' length. But if you could apply it correctly, then it would make your lashes looked longer and thicker.

The mascara was only available in Black and has two brushes in its both ends. One brush was for the fiber and one for the mascara. The brush for black mascara was fat and dense. To be honest, I didn't really like this kind of brush because it couldn't separate my lashes perfectly. So this mascara wasn't my favorite either.

Lipstick

Lastly, let's talk about the lipstick. The East Coast collection has three shades of lipstick which were called Mccall, Taura and Erin. Unfortunately, in my country, these lipsticks were sold out in no time and it's hard to collect all the shades. So in the end, I could only get Mccall which was my second favorite of the shades. My most favorite shades was Taura but it was already sold out and hard to find it anywhere, so I grabbed a chance to get Mccall rather than nothing.

Mccall was the palest shade from the three of East Coast Collection. It was actually a sweet soft pink shade. But sadly, since my lips has already in its natural pink color so this lipstick wasn't doing much different in me. The texture was smooth and it glide nicely on my lips but it's not really pigmented at all. So overall, it's not my favorite product either.

In the end, the conclusion for my review about this product was that they didn't exactly as I hoped for. The products' quality was so average but the plus thing was they were so affordable! And also have a really nice packing! For me personally, this collection hasn't replace any of my current favorite makeup products  at all. But I did hope they would do great things for you since we're all certainly had difference preference. So see ya in next review! Xoxo~

Loreal X Balmain

πŸ’• Beauty Review πŸ’•

Hello guys, finally my first post in 2018 after a long absent during my pregnancy. So after gave birth to a beautiful baby boy last year, now I'm ready to work on my blog again. Let's catch up!

As for this first post, I'm going to write my thought about a new and one of the most awaiting beauty product this year ~ it's a lipstick, to be exact ~, which was a collaboration between two famous brands in their own expertise. Also, these two brands are some of my favorite among the others. I'm sure that you already knew what I'm talking about here!

So recently, L'OrΓ©al ~which expert in beauty industry~ and Balmain ~which expert in fashion industry~ have been collaborated together to create a wonderful lipstick series. And you knew that it's not just one but there were three series at once. So this lipstick series were basically a meet end between beauty and fashion visions.

They launched three series ~or they called it Tribe~ to present three fashion genre. They were Glamazone, Rock and Couture with four shades in each tribe. And as for this post, I would only use the colors from Couture which matched my fashion style best.

Firstly let's talk about the packaging. The Couture Tribe has black casing with Balmain logo engraved on it and L'Oreal logo engraved on the gold list. It's so simple, and classy, yet definitely screaming an exclusivity of  a high end brand like Balmain and L'Oreal were. Elegance was the perfect presentation from this tribe which befitted its name.. 'Couture'.

The Couture Tribe consist of Confidence, Confession, Domination and Liberation. But I passed Liberation shade because I've never fond of purple shade and it couldn't use in my daily makeup for outing. So let's going for the review for each shades below..

Confidence
Confidence is the lightest shade in the Couture Tribe. It's a soft pink color with gold glitters inside. But when I was using this shade, I didn't see much change on my lips. It's maybe because the color shade already as same as my pink lips so it only made my lips shimmering in gold because of the glitters. For me this shade was less pigmented as I wish it to be.

Confession
Confession was the medium shade from the tribe. It was a red-orange tone and seems like a red brick color shade for me. This shade was pigmented enough, so the more you applied it, the more orange it would be.

Domination
Domination was the most bold color in the tribe before Liberation ~which was a dense purple shade~. It was a bright red tone ~or should I say classy red or Taylor Swift's red? lol~ and it's super pigmented. Applied it once and you're ready to go with a classy and elegant look.

Overall, I fell in love with this collection since the first time I knew about it. And I was really excited to try Confidence at first but the it's turned out far from my expectation, so now I loved Domination more. I loved being classy and Domination was perfect for a party or a night out for me, while the other shades would better for daily look ~at work or grocery time~. Below was the color swatches for Couture Tribe's shades that I had..
